Sunshine Coast Receives CivicSpatial Grant of $10,000
ICIS has awarded the Sunshine Coast Regional District with a $10,000 grant through the CivicSpatial Grant Program to help increase the accuracy and currency of spatial data shared with ICIS members.

Town of Creston is Awarded $5,500 through ICIS’ CivicSpatial Grant Program
ICIS is pleased to support the Town of Creston in the work they are undertaking to align their mapping with the Central Kootenay Regional District (RDCK) cadastre.

Central Coast Survey Parcels Compiled and Maintained
Compilation of a survey parcel fabric for the Central Coast Regional District has just been completed, introducing more than 2,500 new parcels to the provincial fabric under active maintenance.  The project was planned and completed within a 6-month timeframe by GeoBC's parcel fabric compilation team.

ICIS Welcomes Newest Members
Membership for 2010 is off to a positive and productive start. With a total of 209 Data Sharing and Licensing Agreements (DSLA's) signed to date, we are proud to announce our 5 newest members: the Town of Comox, The District of West Kelowna, Tlowitsis Nation Treaty, Simpcw First Nation , and the Okanagan Indian Band. We have also formally accepted Tyron Land Surveying Ltd. as an Associate Member.

View Royal - Another First for AddressBC
The Town of View Royal, on Vancouver Island, is the first municipality in BC to adopt the AddressBC data model as a core piece of their new GIS implementation.

Vancouver is an Early Adopter of ICIS' AddressBC
ICIS' geospatial point based address system, AddressBC, is nearing development completion. Even though the product is yet to be released, the City of Vancouver has already started the ball rolling with their early adoption of the AddressBC model.
