The ICIS CivicSpatial Grant program is pleased to provide $2,000 to Chetwynd to help support their implementation of a GIS.  This will allow Chetwynd to improve its mapping capabilities from its current non-spatially referenced AutoCAD system.  Once the GIS implementation process is complete, Chetwynd will be able to adopt the ICF as the foundation for the District’s GIS data to utilize orthophotos and the property database. They will also be able to provide future subdivision parcels within their cadastral submissions to ICIS.   Chetwynd will also undertake the migration of their infrastructure and planning information to fully adopt the ICF.  CivicSpatial funds will help to pay for the migration of the infrastructure information, rights-of-way, easements and municipal boundaries to the ICF base.
