ICIS is pleased to support the City of Dawson Creek in their effort to transform their spatial data by implementing a GIS system and creating a new infrastructure data base. These changes will affect approximately 5500 parcels.

This project will bring a much needed advance for Dawson Creek as much of the spatial resources for the City are currently held in hard copy which degrade with use over time. Not only will this project improve the quality of the data, it will allow the City to maintain its cadastral fabric and share spatial information with staff, clients, constituents and with ICIS members.

The City is committed to support this project through additional technical and financial resources in this and future phases to allow for successful submission of an accurate cadastral database to ICIS. An additional grant of $1,500 has been awarded based on the City's commitment to frequent updates once the system is in place.
