ICIS is pleased to continue its support of the Islands Trust Cadastral Realignment Program with a CivicSpatial Grant of $15,000.  The Islands Trust is now working through the final year of a 5 year program to realign lot boundaries and adjust zoning and Official Community Plan layers.   Positional accuracy of parcel boundaries within the Islands Trust areas typically range from +/-10 to +/-50 meters, whereas realigned parcels completed under the Cadastral Realignment Program now have an accuracy of +/-1-2 metres.  Mayne, North Pender, Salt Spring and Galiano Islands have already been completed with CivcSpatial support.  The final year of the project will see the completion of the Islands Trust areas with the establishment of survey controlled lot boundaries for the entire Trust Area and updated parcels with current attributes to represent a more accurate parcel fabric.
