Peace River Regional District is working on a project to increase the spatial accuracy of their cadastral fabric with funding support from ICIS.

By establishing a network of GPS survey contol points District staff will be able to adjust more than 22,000 parcels which cover a land base of over 250490 ha within the Rural Plan and Fringe areas of the Peace River Regional District. This will increase the spatial accuracy of the Regional District's cadastral fabric to within 1m in remote areas and within 20 cm in rural areas of the district.

As well as embarking on this project, Peace River has committed to more frequent updates to ICIS once the project is complete.
