2002 – 2007

  • Membership expansion via the ICI Society Data Sharing License Agreement (DSLA).
  • Launch of the CivicSpatial Grant Program supporting Local Government spatial fabric improvement projects.

  • Development and launch of the Society’s first Web Map Viewer.

2008 – 2014

  • AddressBC developed and launched as a central, civic address registry for BC.

  • Cost-sharing ortho-imagery initiative for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

  • GeoShare developed and implemented for scheduled, automated data exchange.

  • Associate members further expand Society membership.

  • New features and improved data access for upgraded Web Map and Data Catalog services.

2015 – 2018

  • Local Government Mains layer developed and implemented through GeoShare.
  • Mobile-Ready Map Viewer released.

  • AddressBC data quality initiatives integrate with the BC Physical Address Geocoder.

  • ParcelMap BC becomes available to members via the Data Catalog and the Web Map Viewer.

  • Cost-effective Joint Infrastructure planning developed.

2019 – present

  • ParcelMap BC Adoption launch, outreach and support.

  • AddressBC enhancements identified.

  • Exploration of Emergency Management, Zoning and Next Gen 9-1-1 program initiatives.
