Genevieve Lambert is Executive Director, Data Systems & Services for the Integrated Data division of the Ministry of Citizens’ Services. In this role she is responsible for the delivery of DataBC and Data Innovation program services. The DataBC program provides the data services and spatial data infrastructure that help government share and use its data. Key functions include leading the implementation of B.C.’s Open Data initiative and chairing the cross-government Data Council, which drives the agenda for provincial data management. The Data Innovation program was created in 2017 to support better informed decision-making on the policies and programs that impact the well-being of British Columbians. It builds on global best practices to provide a safe approach to integrating and understanding people-centered data in order to inform policy. Prior to joining the Integrated Data division, Genevieve served as Director, International Marketing for the Province and worked in the tech sector for 10 years, leading marketing departments in Victoria and Toronto. She earned her BAA at Ryerson University in 2000.
